If you ask me this question, I will answer Downy is my preference! I have tried both and fallen in love to Downy. It smells soooo good and last longer. Like seriously very long. I remember that my last time I washed my sejadah (not sure what do we call it in English, but it's a mat for prayer) was at the end of November. But I still can smell that good fragrant on my sejadah, after almost 2 months! Indirectly, it help me having a long sujud, make a du'a, breathe in good aroma ;)

Though the size will take Softlan more beneficial in quantity, my experience shows that Softlan finished faster. I add up more and more softlan every time I wash the clothes. But I just need very little from Downy, that is enough to make the whole washer machine smell better than a garden.
